Vaniqa® cream slows down the hair growth and reduces the thickness of the hair by altering the chemicals in the hair follicles. This product should only be used on the face and underneath the skin.
Apply a thin layer of Vaniqa® Cream to the desired areas of the face and under the chin, at least 5 minutes after hair removal (e.g. tweezing, shaving). Rub in thoroughly. Avoid contact with broken or irritated skin, eyes and certain body parts with mucous membranes (e.g. mouth, nasal passages). If accidental contact does occur, rinse out with cold water immediately. Do not wash the treated area for at least 4 hours and wash hands thoroughly after application. Wait at least 8 hours before applying the cream again. You may apply cosmetics and sunscreen to the treatment area, but no sooner than 5 minutes after using Vaniqa® Cream.

Is Vaniqa® a prescription hair removal product? Does using it mean I won't have to deal with unwanted facial hair anymore?
There are currently no prescription hair removal creams, but there is Vaniqa® cream. This prescription cream is used to effectively reduce facial hair growth in women. If you are currently tweezing, shaving, waxing or using another type of hair removal method, it's important for you to continue doing so. Vaniqa® works together with your current method of hair removal by reducing the rate of growth, so over time you should be removing unwanted facial hair less often.
How do I get the best results?
For the best results, Vaniqa® should be used twice a day, 5 minutes after you have completed your preferred hair removal treatment. Massage a thin layer of cream on your chin, upper lip or other areas of your face and neck twice a day, until it's absorbed into the skin. Do not wash or apply cosmetic within 5 minutes after applying Vaniqa® cream..
What happens if I don't use Vaniqa® regularly?
If you forget or miss a day, don't try to catch up. Vaniqa® cream is a hair growth retardant, therefore it you don't apply it for an extended period of time, your regular hair growth rate will resume. Once you resume using the cream twice a day, every day, hair growth should slow down again.
How long until I see results with Vaniqa®?
Vaniqa® is a prescription cream that reduces the growth of unwanted facial hair in women, but it is not a depilatory cream, so it does not work instantly. Many women will see results within 4 to 8 weeks with twice daily applications. If no improvement has been seen in six months, you should discontinue use.
Can I use Vaniqa® with cosmetics, moisturizers and sunscreens?
Yes. Vaniqa® can be used as part of your morning and evening skin care routine. Apply the cream first and wait for it to dry before applying moisturizers, sunscreen or make up. After applying Vaniqa®, wait at least four hours before washing your face.
